Photography has always been part of my life. I'd like to think I got it from my grandfather. Not that he was a photographer, but you never would see that man without a camera. Whether he was capturing his grandchildren or recording us. As far back as I can remember, I used to beg my dad or mom to pick me up a disposable camera. And when they would, I was snapping left and right. Having my BFF at the time, jump on my grandmas bed and capture her in the air. Through my years of high school, I pretty much lived by the quote "picture or it didn't happen." I had to capture every moment possible. And i don't regret that one bit. I now get to look back and relive those memories. After high school, I decided to start taking it a little more seriously. No, I didn't go to college or any type of school for photography.
With internet the way it is, and the "important" role it plays in peoples lives, photography isn't taken for the right reasons anymore. Everyone wants pictures so they can post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Yes, I post on all three of those websites but I'll be damned if I don't have actual prints. It's a MUST! I want to create memories for people, that will last a lifetime. One day, I want my grandchildren to be at grandmas house looking through pictures of me when I was younger thinking "ewww thats how you dressed?!"
Long story short, the purpose of this blog is to express my feelings, worries, struggles etc. through my photography journey. This is my life expressed through my photography
